July 14, 2004 - Class members must wait for settlement payments
Class Members of the Sulzer Hip class action lawsuit will have to wait a little while longer before seeing their Extraordinary Injury Fund (EIF) payments. Appeals are still pending in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals that will decide the final number claimants who will receive benefits.
The class Claims Administrator is waiting to make sure all Class Members are treated fairly and equally, and will disperse payments as soon as the Court of Appeals makes its final decisions.
A timeline for the decisions is unknown, with a range being between weeks and months.
